Very different strategies are followed to achieve the mRNA sequence that yields the best clinical results for each pathogen. Amongst these, the optimization of the UTRs and codons, or the introduction of the poly(A) tail at different stages of the synthesis (co-transcriptional or post-transcriptional polyadenylation) are the most characteristic ones.
The refined sequence is synthesized following a well-established process and yielding mRNA containing cap1 and a poly(A) tail in its structure. This synthesis is performed in single use bioreactors and later purified with the most advanced techniques for the removal of co-contaminants and dsRNA.
Following the latest formulation and encapsulation techniques, the most adequate option for the efficient delivery of mRNA is selected. Using microfluidics and the precise combination of lipids of different nature (derivatized and ionizable), the lipid nanoparticles containing the mRNA inside are produced, thus ensuring it is stable and facilitating its uptake into cells.
Our products are tested thoroughly and at different stages of the process to guarantee that they meet the required quality standards.
The structural assays performed both in vivo and in vitro play a vital role in the selection of the product with the best quality, safety and efficacy features.
